DC’s Year of the Villain kicked off this month with the $.25 issue #0. This event will run differently than a normal comic event. DC designed it so it won’t break the bank of it’s customers. Every series that ties in with “Year of the Villain: The Offer” is a stand-alone story. Fans can pick and choose which issues that appeal to them and still get the experience of the event, or they can buy them all.
Kicking off in June with Justice League #25, Lex Luthor will launch his most ambitious plan ever with “The Offer.” As he appears to villains across the DCU, he tells them it’s their time and they’re done losing to the heroes.

Two of the Daily Planet’s finest will get their own miniseries starting this summer! Lois Lane #1 kicks off leading Lois to investigate a threat to her husband that reaches the highest levels of international power brokers and world leaders. Jimmy Olsen #1 puts Superman’s pal on a bizarre journey looking at the underbelly of the DC Universe featuring death, destruction, giant turtles, and more that spans centuries!

The Marvel Corner
In House of X, Charles Xavier reveals his master plan for mutantkind… one that will bring mutants out of the shadows of mankind and into the light once more. Powers of X ties into House revealing the secret past, present, and future of mutantkind, changing the way you looks at every X-Man story before and after.
Both series plan to introduce a new era as Hickman introduces his revolutionary direction for the X-Men.
House of X and Powers of X both start in July.
Two of Asgard’s heroes (well, one anti-hero/villain) have new series coming this summer!
Jason Aaron with Al Ewing takes up writing Dr. Jane Foster once again. She has been known as one of Thor’s greatest companions, the Goddess of Thunder, and now Jane has a new mantle: Valkyrie. Valkyrie #1 brings the good doctor in a new role as guide and ferrywoman to the dead, which has more punching than expected.
Loki #1 brings back the trickster god after dying a grisly death in War of the Realms. Back on his feet, Loki plans to take on a whole new set of responsibilities… as long as his brother Thor doesn’t get in the way!
Both series start in July.
Two miniseries featuring some of the fiercest women in the Marvel universe are starting soon!
Fearless #1 is written by Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider writer Seanan McGuire. Straight off her silver-screen debut, Captain Marvel takes the world by storm! And speaking of the weather, Storm of the X-Men faces a problem only a goddess could solve. Add the Invisible Woman, and you’ve got an unstoppable trio.
And if you can’t get enough of Sue Storm, she gets her first limited series! Invisible Woman #1 dives into secrets about her past shaking up the perceptions of the Fantastic Four hero. Years ago, Sue undertook an espionage mission for S.H.I.E.L.D. and now it’s up to her to save her former partner from the hands of terrorists.

Ghosted in L.A. #1: Rycrofy Manor is old, abandonned, and haunted, but Daphne doesn’t care. It has a pool and rent is free.
